This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to take time out and explore your creativity. Starting with a prompt from nature, you will be taken on a creative journey exploring patterns in nature using a variety of materials and techniques including Gelli plate printing; your work will be collated into a concertina sketchbook.

Perfect for artists looking to loosen up and overcome the fear of a pristine page in a new sketchbook!

Colour:

Inks 1 x black/Paynes grey/ sepia and 1 x colour (I use acrylic ink and Indian ink).

Ink blocks eg. Inktense by Derwent, Art Graf

Watercolour paint/gouache

Acrylic paint – your choice but limit it to 3 colours.

Collaging resources:

Magazines, old paintings, maps, text, old sewing patterns

Matte medium for gluing collage materials and / or glue stick

Scissors

Other:

Spray water bottle

Viewfinder with small aperture eg 2” x 2” or strips of card to ‘crop’ an image.
