DESCRIBING TEXTURE THROUGH DRAWING
Objects can be smooth, rough, spiky, shiny - this session focuses on different techniques to describe such textures…..based around a Christmassy Wreath, pine cones, fir trees, baubles ribbon, etc.
This month we will start with a mark making exercise. It's surprising how many different ways there are to hold your pencil or pen and how, by adjusting the pressure, direction and rhythm of your marks, you are able to suggest a certain texture so that the viewer knows what they are seeing in your drawing.
A foundation class for beginners and those feeling rusty!
