Max Hale is an award-winning artist/tutor. He will give a seascape demonstration; helping us to focus on tonal values to create ambience and mood.

His paintings are a testament to keen eye for graphic tonal elements, with a focus on the interplay of light and shadow.

Materials to bring….

Please bring your own photograpic references. This should comprise a coastal scene including harbour or beach. Boats and or people can be included too.

Painting-canvas boards or paper. 2 x is a good idea
A set of quality acrylic paints. Colour set Titanium white, Ultramarine, cerulean, Cobalt, mid-Cadmium yellow, red, orange, sap green, alizarin crimson
Flat palette of tear-off or melamine variety.
Water pot
Rag for mopping
At least three brushes suitable for acrylic painting. Check my YouTube Channel for help
Easel or table easel
Charcoal/sketchbook/pencil 2B
