USING TONE TO ADD DEPTH AND FORM.

Drawing from life is a rewarding experience and improves our observation skills no end.  This month Tina will help you set up a simple still life from the objects you bring along, and will explore how to add depth and form to our subject with both line and tone.

 A few interesting observation exercises to start the session will remind us how to draw what we actually see and not what we think we see.

Materials to bring along…

• Some items from your kitchen wrapped in a tea towel such as a jug, teapot, vase, coffee mug, wine bottle & glass etc. along with some fruit

• Sketchpad and drawing materials such as soft pencils, crayons, pens, charcoal, rubber and sharpener.  

• A shoe box or ordinary medium sized box.

• Drawing board if you have one.
